Stay safe while chatting

• Never share your full name, address, school, workplace, phone number, passwords, OTPs or financial details with someone you just met.
• Do not give out your social media accounts. Links and email addresses are blocked in every chat, and a reminder appears when social media is mentioned.
• People online may not be who they say they are. Nickname, gender and region are not verified.
• Never send money, load credits or gift cards, and be careful with offers that sound too good to be true.
• Leave any conversation that makes you uncomfortable: press Stop or Next, or leave the group channel.

Block someone

Block keeps the two of you from being matched again on this device. Because chat is anonymous, a blocked or banned person who clears their browser data may return under a new identity.

Age

Esmeringle is for adults (18+). Using the site means you confirm you are 18 or older; we cannot verify age. If someone appears to be a minor, end the chat.

If you need help

• Immediate danger: call 911, the Philippine national emergency hotline.
• Online abuse, threats, scams, blackmail or non-consensual intimate images: report to the PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group, the NBI Cybercrime Division, or the Cybercrime Investigation and Coordinating Center (CICC, hotline 1326). Keep screenshots and any usernames.
• Child sexual abuse or exploitation: report immediately to the authorities above or to the DSWD. It is illegal under Republic Act No. 11930 and No. 9775.
• Misuse of your personal data: you can complain to the National Privacy Commission at privacy.gov.ph.
